The 2009 Sale raised £93,639 which was distributed to the following charities:

Twenty two Dragons were awarded with Certificates of Entrepreneurship by the Dragon Sale Committee for putting together an idea and running a stall at the Dragon Sale. All together the seven childrens stalls raised over £700. The prize for the best stall was awarded to "Dex R Us" run by Tom Van Oss, Tom Mills, Jake Adams and Orlando Riviere who raised £210 by making and selling some fabulous Christmas decorations. A wonderful wooden trophy was awarded to them and will be displayed in the forum. Eight Dragon philanthropists Guy Fiennes, Laura Sainty, Vincent Griffin, Vita Paxman, Natasha Crawford, Sophie Kitchen, Alasdair Grant and Scarlett Netherton representing 7 charities, applied for funds from the proceeds of the Dragon Sale. They were all awarded £1,000 for each of their respective charities. The Sale Committee was very impressed by the enthusiasm of the Dragons involved and their choice of the worthwhile charities on whose behalf they applied.
