We are delighted to announce that Jay Jay Burridge and Ben Miller have agreed to entertain 80 lucky children in the MCLT at this year’s 75th Dragon Sale.
Jay Jay Burridge, author of ‘The World of Supersaurs’ returns with his fantastic exploration of a world in which the dinosaurs, rather than dying out, have survived and evolved and now live alongside humans.
Jay Jay Burridge will be presenting the latest instalment in his World of Supersaurs and demonstrating the amazing tricks that Augmented Reality can bring to children’s fiction. With three books now on the shelves, Raptors of Paradise, The Stegosorcerer and Clash of the Tyrants, the Supersaurs adventure series just got a whole lot more exciting!
If that were not enough, Ben Miller is joining in the fun with a reading from his book ‘The Night I met Father Christmas’, the charming tale of Jackson and his dream of meeting Father Christmas.
Ben Miller, comedian, actor and director, hardly needs an introduction. He recently appeared in Paddington 2 and Johnny English Strikes Back and continues his work as a comedian, reprising double act Armstrong and Miller with Alexander Armstrong to present We Are Most Amused And Amazed to celebrate the 70th birthday of the Prince Of Wales. He is sure to give the children a magical start to their Christmas holidays.
At the end of the event, there will be a chance for children to meet the authors and purchase a book signed by them.

Jay Jay Burridge and Ben Miller will be appearing at the MCLT (Michael Cowen Lecture Theatre) from 11.25am on the day of the Dragon Sale. Tickets are £5 and can be booked through the Dragon Sale website by clicking here . We expect tickets for this event to sell out quickly so book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets purchased in advance will be added to your school bill.
World of Supersaurs is aimed at children aged 8 upwards. We ask parents to use their discretion in deciding if this event is suitable for their child.
We can only seat 80 in the MCLT. We therefore ask that only young children are accompanied by one adult if you so wish. Adults must purchase a separate ticket if they wish to attend. Adults with younger children will be asked to sit towards the rear of the theatre so as not to block the view of other children. We advise that children be collected by their parents at the end of the event. Please arrive outside the MCLT no later than 11.55am in order to collect your children. This event gives parents a great opportunity to enjoy some time in the Lynam Hall where the Grand Auction will be underway.
Seats purchased in advance but not taken up on the day will be resold so we can continue to make money for children’s charities both here and abroad.
