AUTHORS' CORNER: GIFTS FOR EVERY READER IN YOUR FAMILY!
This year's Authors' Corner offers a smorgasbord of literature for all ages, featuring some very familiar faces - Prue Leith, Ben Miller, Rory Stewart and our very own Nick Fry; wonderful wit - Patrick Kidd from the Times and Chelsea Renton's cartoons; delicious cookery - Pip Spence and Lucinda Miller; nail-biting novels - Jessica Fellowes and Kate Weinberg; beautiful flowers - the Land Gardeners Bridget Elworthy & Henriette Courtauld; Allie Esiri with Shakespeare for Every Day of the Year and an inspiring gathering of children's authors, including three Carnegie medal-winning or shortlisted writers (Kevin Crossley-Holland, Amy Wilson & Jasbinder Bilan).
Authors' Corner is in three locations: Lab A, Lab B and the Rink. You will have the opportunity to have every book inscribed with a personal signature to your loved one and a chance to chat with the author. Please note that Prue Leith is likely to be very busy - we advise coming early! Also please note that Rory Stewart is signing books from 10.00-10.45am. Thank-you very much for your support; Authors' Corner makes a very significant contribution to the overall amount raised for the Dragon Sale charities. There are full details for every author click here.
ONLY 30 TICKETS LEFT - CHILDREN’S AUTHOR EVENT (MCLT)
We are delighted to announce that Matt Brown will be appearing at the MCLT (Michael Cowen Lecture Theatre) from 11.25am on the day of the Dragon Sale. Matt Brown has worked as a radio producer, DJ and TV presenter and now author. Matt uses his books to inspire kids to come up with amazing characters. He'll also do some incredible magic tricks. The event is perfect for Years 3-6. Tickets are £5 and can be booked by clicking here. This is a great way to keep your children entertained during the Live Auction. We expect tickets for this event to sell out soon so book now to avoid disappointment.
ATTENTION ALL STALLHOLDERS
If you are running a stall on Saturday, you need to be familiarised about the set-up procedures, timeline and bank system. This is all included in the Stallholder & Bank Notes, (click either and you can read or download a copy of each set of notes), which you’ve hopefully already received. Please contact Georgia Goss () if you have any questions.
Please also remember that lunch on Friday is running differently this year. The children setting-up stalls will have lunch provided to them by the school. The parents will not have lunch, but should arrive at 1:15 when set-up begins.
